Betty Jane Lewis , 81, of Sciotoville, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Southern Ohio Medical Center.  Born on August 2, 1931 in Ironton, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Edna Atkins Jarvis.  Betty attended the Truth Tabernacle and was a homemaker.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde S. Lewis, and two brothers, Elwood and Larry Jarvis.  Surviving are a son, Michael Lewis of Wheelersburg, a daughter, Janice (Dennis) Pelfrey of Sciotoville, three brothers, Carl Jarvis of South Webster, and Eddy Jarvis and Herbie Jarvis, both of Dayton, five sisters, Norma Moore of Dayton, Brenda Howard of AL, Wilma Wells of New Boston, Loretta Spriggs of Ironton, and Laura Richards of North Carolina, five grandchildren, Daniel Pelfrey, Greg Pelfrey, Melissa Lewis, Amanda Lewis, and Brandon Lewis, and five great-grandchildren.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE.  Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Sciotoville from Noon to 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Betty Jarvis Lewis, 81, of Sciotoville, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Southern Ohio Medical Center.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Lewis.  Arrangements are pending at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE, where the family will receive friends after Noon on Monday, April 8, 2013.
