Betty J. Bender, 91, of Sciotoville, died Sunday, November 30, 2014, at the Best Care Nursing and Rehab Center in Wheelersburg. Born in Scioto County on February 8, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Levi and Emma Griffith Elliott, employed at the former Williams Manufacturing Company and formerly attended the Sciotoville Church of the Nazarene.
Also preceding Betty in death were her husband, Richard Bender, a son, Rich Bender and a brother, Robert Elliott.
Surviving are two nieces, Dottie (Vernon) Williams of Sciotoville and Diana (Dennis) Bennett of Minford.
A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4 th at the Edgewood Abbey Mausoleum with Rev. Ryan Brown officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Burial Park.
The family will receive guests at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE after 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
