Bessie Lee Schweinsberg, 83, of Wheelersburg, died Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at Crystal Care in Franklin Furnace. Born on November 10, 1933 in Greenup, KY, she was a daughter of the late Winfield and May Jordan Floyd and formerly employed at the Portsmouth Daily Times.
Bessie was a member of Cedar Street Church of Christ in Christian Union.
Surviving are her husband, Elmer Lee Schweinsberg; a son, Robert (Brenda) Schweinsberg of Wheelersburg; a daughter, Linda Lee (Rick) Rivers of Sciotodale; three grandchildren, Zachary Schweinsberg, Nathan Walker and Erica Ramey; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Bessie was also preceded in death by a brother, Paul Floyd, and two sisters, Mary Schweinsberg and Sylvia June Carter.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 14th, at 12:00 noon at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Gary Heimbach officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
