Angela Rochelle Whisman

Angela Rochelle Whisman, 59, of Columbus, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2025, at her home. Born on January 10, 1966, in Jackson, MS, she was a daughter of the late William B. Grant III and Linda Lagore Grant. 

Angela was of the Catholic faith and a retired security guard.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Chris Grant, Mike Grant, Wicky Grant and Robby Grant.

Surviving are her husband, Gerald “Gary” Whisman, a brother, Richie Grant of Flowood, MS; a sister, Teresa (David) Gilmore of Ridgeland, MS; a stepson, Travis Whisman of Circleville; six grandchildren, Monica, Libby, Chloe, Aleaha, Wyatt and Octavia, a daughter-in-law, Katelynn Sartin and a very special friend, Julie Ball of Ashville.

A service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 1st, at Memorial Burial Park. 

The family will receive guests at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
