Adam Tanner Yates, 29, of Sciotoville, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at home. Born on September 17, 1984 in Portsmouth, he was a son of Dan and Kelly Stiltner Yates of Sciotoville, and was a 2003 graduate of East High School, where he participated in baseball and football.
Also surviving are a stepson, Steven Lester of Sciotoville, a brother, Bobby Yates of Wheelersburg, a sister, Tishoma (Jason) Riley of West Portsmouth, his grandmother, Grace Yates of Franklin Furnace, a nephew, Joseph Dunlap and a special companion, Pamela King Lester.
Preceding Adam in death were grandparents, Don Stiltner, Oma Stiltner and Ron Yates.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Vernon Cemetery with Don Stiltner as moderator. The family will receive friends at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
