James Lee Cooper, 84, of Sciotoville, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017. Born on September 8, 1933 in Amelia, he was a son of the late John Lee Cooper and Leah Chandler Cooper.
Jim retired as an engineer from GE and served in the Army during the Korean War.
Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Clyde and Lawrence; a sister, Geraldine and two grandchildren, Corinna and Kenneth
Survived by his devoted loving wife 60 years, Barbara Spry Cooper; beloved father of three sons, Glen (Corina), James, Jr. (Garnet) and Timothy (Jennifer); four daughters, Annette, Karen (Robert), April (Greg) and Donna (Justin); eleven grandchildren, Robert, Jr., James III, Amanda, Kevin, Rachel, Nathan, Coral, Abigale, Gabriel, Julius and Caelus; and five great-grandchildren, Aiden, Micah, Bethel, Azaiah and Kairi.
A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 11th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Steve Mann officiating. Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12th, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Cincinnati, with military honors.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s after 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
