Carrie (Hardin) Dunham

September 3, 1922 ~ January 16, 2017 (age 94)

Carrie Dunham, 94, of New Boston, went to be with her Lord on Monday, January 16, 2017, at Heartland with her family by her bedside.  Born on September 3, 1922 in Scioto County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Henry Hardin and was a proud member for 59 years of Porter Free Will Baptist Church.

Also preceding her in death were her husband, Charles E. Dunham, Sr., three brothers, her twin Harry Hardin, John Hardin and Thomas Hardin; and four sisters, Ila Sheeley, Naomi Link, Ethel Ruark and Nannie Faulkner. 

Surviving are two sons, Charles (Evelyn) Dunham, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL and Gardner (Kelley) Dunham of Wheelersburg; four daughters, Carla Dunham of New Boston, Dianne (Roger) Wales of Sciotoville, Charlotte (Terry) Jones of South Point and Judy Vanessa (Gary) Fannin of Wheelersburg; seven grandchildren, Shane (Tracie) Dunham, Ian (Anessa) Dunham, Darick (Emily) Dunham, Olivia Jones, Dr. Carrie (Dr. Gerad) Gray, Haley (Scott) Hilbert and Hanna Dunham and twelve great-grandchildren, Shelby Dunham, Caleb Dunham, Merrick Dunham, Blake Dunham, Jordan Dunham, Jacob Dunham, Ella Gray, Maya Hilbert, Michael Hilbert, Landon Jones, Ramsey Malone and Isis Thompson.

A Celebration of Carrie’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Terry Jones and Pastor Scott Hilbert officiating.  Interment will be in Mound Cemetery in Piketon.

The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
